Weeping cherry bowl

The wild and lovely figure of this timber is accentuated by the varying tones of red typical of the weeping cherry tree.  The classic profile is highlighted by hand-cut beads that not only add a distinctive touch but subtly aid in holding the bowl.

Its silky touch is partly due to the nature of cherry, partly to the finish of food-safe linseed oil and beeswax.

This bowl can be used as a vessel to hold a variety of dry items such as jewelry, knickknacks, keys, potato chips or other snacks.  Of course, it would like great as a display item on a bookshelf, side-table, or dresser.  Likewise, it would make a much-appreciated gift.
